Football | McGowan resigns as Green Run coach

Green Run football coach Jeff McGowan has resigned, Stallions athletic director Ryan Patrick O’Meara said in an email late Monday. McGowan compiled a 19-14 record over three seasons. He guided Green Run to back-to-back playoff appearances before the Stallions slipped to 3-7 this year and missed the postseason. McGowan previously coached at Kempsville, where he was 25-15.
